Hello, friends old and new. How are you?
In these times of virtual correspondence, Wilmington School of the Arts is reaching out in many ways: Facebook, Zoom, Messenger, WebEx…even Facetime filters, for the kids in our lives. Every day, a new way to connect through the distance.
We so look forward to connecting in person.
Until that time, we wanted to share some virtual highlights of these past weeks and our excitement about ongoing and upcoming programming.
WSA has been painting the web ‘many colors,’ of late. Look for us across social media and help us find you, too! #wsasintouch is our new hashtag; we’d love to see art, inspirations, anything you’d like to share. We so enjoyed our first Virtual Open House on Facebook Live, still online for you to enjoy We toured our new site, safely visited with teachers and staff, and loved the interactive Q and A with our WSA community. Our curriculum mapping highlights intellectual inquiry, multiple intelligences, and a way to discover how your child learns best: from tactile-kinesthetic to verbal-linguistic learners, and all types in between, our teachers are trained in teaching—and reaching—your type of young learner.
From WSA yard signs to radio interviews, our multimedia outreach efforts continue. You’ll find us in Wilmington Parent’s Business Showcase—online and in print—sharing arts-integration, community building, and ongoing Open Enrollment. While browsing your favorite online newspaper, you’ll see us too! In partnering with Local Voice Media and Port City Daily, we’re sharing and expanding our WSA family.
To mark this significant time in our lives and boost your family’s ‘stay at home’ spirits, WSA photographer Kym Turner has created the Front Porch Project. From a safe distance, Kym’s artistic lens captures meaningful family time around the front porch. Book your appointment today! email@example.com
Behind the scenes, we’re putting the finishing touches on our new classrooms and gearing up for our first school year–Grand Opening, August 2020! And we’ll continue to bring you virtual programming courtesy of SheaRa Nichi, our Cultural Arts Programming Coordinator: look for exciting updates about our YouTube ‘Variety Show,’ featuring talented musicians streaming live! Something to listen to around that Front Porch! 🙂
Now more than ever, we look forward to visiting in person. Until then, we’re right here for you.
